The Iron Age Glastonbury Bowl is now featured on the BBC webpages entitled "A History of the World". To read about the Iron Age Glastonbury Lake Village and the artefacts discovered there click here . When you visit Glastonbury again why not visit the Glastonbury Lake Village Museum which is in the Tribunal in the High Street. This run by the Glastonbury Antiquarian Society and is housed in the same building as the Glastonbury Tourist Information Centre.

The next meeting of Glastonbury Town Council will be held on Tuesday 9th February 2010 starting at 7pm. The agenda will be posted here on Friday 5th February 2010. If members of the public wish to speak on any subject relevant to the town they may do so in the public participation slot from 7 – 7.15pm. The subject does not have to be on the agenda and you do not have to make an appointment - just turn up and inform the Town Clerk that you wish to speak.

Snow across Somerset on Tuesday night forced suspension of waste and recycling collection services on Wednesday. A limited service has recommenced today (Thursday) but a thaw is unlikely over the next few days at least, so it is likely there will be further delays before we reach many areas.
